November 2024 Tecumseh Junior High Visit
AEMB members again traveled to Tecumseh Junior High School to give an informative presentation on the field of Biomedical Engineering for middle school students. We provided an overview of the different career paths within the field, and gave personal anecdotes on our own paths to engineering. We wrapped up with an interactive design challenge in which students created their own prosthetic hand out of arts and crafts material, to actively learn about the engineering design process.
March 2024 Tecumseh Junior High Visit
AEMB members traveled to Tecumseh Junior High School to give an informative presentation on the field of Biomedical Engineering tailored specifically for eighth-grade students. Content included an overview of the different career paths within the field, a live BME device demo, and an introduction to the engineering design process. We wrapped up with an interactive design challenge in which students created their own prosthetic hand out of arts and crafts material.
November 2022 Oakland Academy Visit
Members of the Purdue University Chapter of Alpha Eta Mu Beta visited the students of Oakland Academy on 11/14/22 and 11/17/22. They introduced the students to Biomedical Engineering principles through fun and interactive activities.
